The thing is, many corporate employees at 3M are compensated handsomely...doesn't matter if you're a 3M job grade 8, 10, or 15+...chances are you are outearning your peers with similar titles at other publicly traded companies. A more insightful metric might be number of employees with salaries above 75k, 100k, 200k, 300k, 500k, etc.
I don’t expect him to turn it down. The question is why would the board/company allow this given the dumpster fire he’s helped create.
