Cabinet Specialist To Begin Customer Centric Schedule

It is quite apparent Corporate management wants to lose most all of their experienced Kitchen Designers effective May 1, 2021. After 12 years with Lowe’s , 11 of that as a kitchen designer I will be giving my notice.
I know several designers in my area have already began their job search.

Good luck, and God Bless Marv

Ask your Sm, to not adhere to the centric schedule like I did! He said he would do his best to keep my schedule? Think all should request this at all store's...... He's doing it for me!

Just another way to run off more talented, tenured people. Way to go, Lowe’s.

Marv and Joe have NO ideas of their own. Virtually EVERYTHING has to based on their time at Depot!!!

Tiny Hands Joe is past 65 and should retire. But then, why would he when he gets paid a fortune to sit on his A-z-z and follow Marv around, kiss, kiss, kiss....

All of Marv's success can be attributed to the Pandemic. The Pandemic made Lowe's tremendous profits, NOT the leadership of Marv.

The so-called Customer Centric Schedule is anything but. Two to four people scheduled in a department during weekdays. Then after 4pm when it's really busy there isn't ANYONE working in the stores when customers are in to shop! The weekend, same thing, lean scheduling.

So, what is the point of this schedule? I guess Marv and Joe get their jollies out of F==qing the employees up!!!!!!!

Was speaking to one of my cabinet specialists at my store (central FL area) and they confirmed that they were told that their scheduling would soon be changing. As one of the appliance specialists it was nice to have fairly predictable Cabinet coverage so it was one less thing I had to worry about. They maintained a sign-up book so most customers were not upset if they just randomly walked in and we had no coverage. As far as I am concerned it affects my department just as much and I would vastly prefer 10-7 (single coverage) or 8-5/10-7 (two person coverage) over some helter skelter schedule like the rest of us have to deal with. As far as I am concerned it is just the latest tactic from corporate to get the highly knowledgeable associates to leave.

Lowe's version of customer centric scheduling is putting on most of the associates during the day. At my store we have "Pro Hours" which are 6 until 10am, then we have "Power Hours" which are from 10 to 2pm. Because of the restrictions placed on what work can and can not be done much of the work is left for the closer to do. Three people on during the day, one on at right. 8 hours to get done what wasn't done in 24 hours (3*8=24).

In reality Power Hours at my store should be between 4 and 8pm when the professionals come home from their office jobs and stop at Lowe's before or after dinner.

Good! Tired of their sweetheart deals while everyone else is getting every week split and random hours.
