How many have quit BBB without giving notice or just stopped coming into work? How many have been able to find a job shortly afterwards? And how many regret quitting because you’re still unemployed? And what were your reasons for walking away? Was it horrible management or something else? Personally, I cannot understand why anyone would jump ship without having a lifeboat. I’m interested in knowing what the reasons are.

I’ve got more respect for the employees who abandon their job than the ones who give their two weeks notice but then call out sick and don’t show up.
So many people on here fail to realize that Right to Work laws work both ways if things are not working out for the employee. They can fire you, but you can leave them as well. And suddenly in both events.
I've seen tons of managers jump ship without a lifeboat. I cannot blame them. It is also getting to a point where having that Bloodbath on the resume is a disadvantage, I am sure of that. Place is laughed at by mgmt at other chains. You need to consider what is best for you. Frankly, most chains will take you in at this point if you are still breathing, judging by the slugs they have taken in already. Bloodbath is no different.
Lol, “irregardless”
Seems like a very HR crafted question as the company grapples with a higher than industry expected turn over ratio...
No raises
No bonuses
Your store may close
You may lose your job at any minute irregardless of performance due to an engineered restructuring
Managers are scared so they don’t lead well
The culture of “don’t dare push back“ strangulates creativity
It’s just not a great place to come to work anymore. People are Dismal but show fake enthusiasm and painted on smiles.
Oh... and wage scale studies are a joke - that’s why the kids are leaving. They can make more selling coffee and donuts.
Walking is a very poor idea. It is immature and inconsiderate. And may cone back to haunt you
Does the employer give the courtesy of a two week notice when they let you go? No they don’t! So unless your relying on a personal reference, just walk.
Best thing BBB did for me, closing down the store and no transfers for anyone. Getting more on unemployment than I ever made working
So many times I'd loved to have walked out with my middle fingers held up high for everyone to see. I have put up with so much cr-p here from se-ual harassment by management while other managers laugh about it, had a SM get in my face and accuse me of internal theft when the entire time it was his right hand man, been jerked around about being promoted, had managent lie straight to my face and I audio recorded them doing it. I've submitted so much to HR and they don't care. Yes I choose to stay and that's my prerogative, I have a thick skin. But you want to know why employees walk? Because this company DOES NOT CARE.
Too much disfunction in BBBY
I am guessing that the former employees just had enough
We've had quite a few "older folks" walk, just as frequently as the teens do. Some people just don't want to work.
I was a Department supervisor since 2016. I transferred stores in February 2020 across states and after working a day and a half I just clocked out and left. The store was unfriendly, associates rude, and the managers were going to force me to do inventory and go back to work after working all night, for the week. Nah bruh. I walked and got unemployment. Of course, I work in a very liberal state and they sided with me. It was nice getting 472 a week and 600. Thank you SO much BBB.
Have a lot of teens that Just come and go and many don’t give a notice. Might want to ask them. Us older folks know professionalism and realize what it looks like to other companies.
