I didn't find the work to be "cool" at all. Immediately saw that the company was a complete mess. No clue of when products were being built or when they could ship. No investment in technology... from a company that literally had the word 'technology' in their name. Anyone in a so-called 'supervisor' or 'manager' role has no idea of how to run a department and manage employees. Project goals and standards change daily. I kept detailed notes of what my supervisor asked us to do and the direction changed several times. No reason why. It was always told to us that it was 'from the upper chain' and somehow we were just expected to blindly work towards goals never defined, and certainly never reached. Lying to customers was expected. Meetings were held daily to come up with the 'company line' excuses to tell customers that were not getting what they paid for. It was all just a smokescreen shuffle to show money on the books, but never shipping anything. Then, at the end of the quarter... the mad scramble to ship ANYTHING THAT WAS NOT NAILED DOWN so that the bonus checks for managers would be inflated. Just a nasty, evil place to work. Glad I left.
