I haven't been in this company for a long time and despite everything I would love to stay here for a while longer, if nothing else until I expand my skillset enough so I can move on. However, I understand that times are uncertain and we absolutely cannot be sure what the situation will be in the company in the next five years. I know it's hard to plan building a serious and long career here these days, but I would love to stay another 2-3 years.

Your marketer will know if a profit center or product line is a filler. Classifications were made 2 years ago and likely will not change. Fillers and Adjacencies (actual terms) are being gutted as I type this.
Is TSD considered favored core business? Could be in line with Bidens infrastructure plan.
Some anonymous advice from a random guy on the internet:
1) If you are early in your career, try to say to at least 4-5 years total. This avoids any red flags at future employers. If you are clearly favored to be on a fast-track, and that is what you want, stay longer and see 2) below. If you are not sure if you are favored, or know you are not, then plan to be somewhere else quick.
2) If you have been working 5+ years, like me: If you are in a favored Core business (such as PSD), I'd consider trying to ride Mike Roman out there. If you are in a non-favored or non-Core business (ASD, CMSD, AASD) then moving divisions or out of 3M is the best option. If you are in a support function (CRL, BT/SAP, etc.) RUN, do not walk to the exits.
Yes we need to get to optimal efficiency
Don’t be in the SAP team too.. once deployed they will be the first on the chopping board
Only way to be "safe" is to support a Core product (not adjacency or filler). And even then its not a guarantee. If you are supporting an adjacency or filler, its time to start looking around, just a matter of time.
