People complain about Yammer on here. Show some initiative to make it what you think it should be or don’t join it. You can easily change the settings to turn off email notifications or create an outlook rule to auto trash them. You could also start your own group, anyone can, and as the Admin post the type of content you think should be on there. So many people with victim mentality. Either work to change things or leave to somewhere you are happy.

Yam to get ahead! Post Yams that you think will get the attention of managers! Also like their Yams immediately! Its that simple!
Bunch of whiners on here. YMmer is a tool. If you don’t like it don’t use it. Many companies use it or something similar. Ever consider you and your poor attitude are the problem? Show others the right way by example. That’s being a leader. Not sitting in the corner complaining and throwing rocks all the time. Get off your a-s and contribute to improving things.
I use yammer as an RSS for particular tech groups. Works well enough in that capacity (upcoming training, new sw packages etc).

Anyone who has any opinion about EM or it’s brainwashed zombie employees without a strong feeling of dislike is a discolored frog from a poisoned well.
Why would I want to crowdsource an idea? This is science and engineering; groupthink is not helpful.
Only useless admin/office people need to use Yammer. Scientist, trade workers, and people who actually do work don't even need it.
