Our Cisco rep has been pitching Intersight like mad also. While I will admit that they have some interesting features, we will definitely not recommend it to our partners and customers. The reason is that dealing with Cisco is like dealing with a bunch of 5-year olds. They come up with a product and pitch it like mad. However, a year from now, their people will get bored, lose interest and move on to other projects.
In typical Cisco fashion, the Intersight portfolio will be half finished and it will be near impossible to get support in a few years. It's always been a broken record with them. We have invested millions in vaporware projects like IPTV, LoadBalancers, or UCS Director. They ended up losing interest and canceled the projects after a while. We ended up wasting millions of dollars as a result. As the old saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice (or a dozen times), (really) shame on us!"

@4okr+1aSJJaSJ, sorry to copy your post, but I agree with every word. I would be surprised if the Intersight portfolio is finished, but I doubt it. I'm just wondering after how long after will Intersight fall into oblivion?

We are one of your largest customers. It does not matter how great your product is. You left us in the lurch every time. As I said, millions of dollars wasted!
Intersight, SASE (Umbrella) and Webex are the only offers in line with what has been touted for the future of Cisco…SaaS delivered with subscription consumption model. Intersight will continue to be a foundational DC play. The more 3rd party API hooks that are added the better.
