To be a bit fair, most, if not all of these "team leads" had any idea what they were getting into when they accepted the job.
Still, other than 2 at my old store, maybe 3... are competent. The rest have no freaking idea what they are doing and in NO way are leaders. They just saw a raise and some sort of clout dangling in front of their eyes. Show me a 21 year old "team leader" that can actually lead a team of people that have been there many years, know how most things work, and can garner any kind of respect. All stores I'm aware of are hating this new system, it really is a joke. The biggest mistake walmart made was getting rid of the dept. manager position because no one actually owns anything and therefore doesn't give much of a cluck anymore.
