Just wondering....Are the specialists in your store working the registers to make their numbers. There's a couple or four here that works the registers all day two or three times a week

It doesn’t matter, the sales reports can identify the difference between actual sales and sales from other departments. Your managers know your numbers.
It was very common at my old store for a specialist in plumbing to work up a quote and pull the order, enter it in the system and provide a quote with the number for the cashier to pull up the order. But then the appliance specialist or the commercial sales specialist would intercept the order and steal the sale to put it in his or her own sales number. Of course plumbing was so stacked with customers they had a hard time walking customers to the registers. Then it got to the point they would just tell the customers waiting in the department they would be right back. They would walk the customer to the register waiting in line with them. Some of those specialists still had the audacity to try to refund rebill the transaction in their sales number and the ASM and Store manager didn’t care.
I worked in a store once where the store manager encouraged this.
Shhh. Don’t tell anyone. They will eliminate cash registers next. Then Appliance Specialists.
They need to lower the SPH.l so bonuses are actually attainable. You can't compare this year with the Covid fueled numbers of a year ago when people spent all their vacation money on their homes instead. A better comparison is 2019.
Plus stock is hard to get. Our Bosch rep said 16-22 weeks for some dishwashers as they are having trouble getting the computer chips. Same thing with LG and Samsung ranges.
Such a rigged bonus system. Department Plan for last month was + 60% comp. +60 Ridiculous! I was +40% over sph goal, and the department ended up like +5% over plan. I was the only one in the store that made bonus last month, and ended up with like 200 bucks. The PSE will make over 200k this year. That is where the money is. Not this nonsense.
Great way to tank your average ticket.
That’s one way but I’ve seen it backfire too where someone tanks their SPH cause they just posted on a register doing a bunch of small transactions that don’t equal up to one sale in their dept. what I see SMART ones do is catch somebody with a cart full of stuff or some good ope items and escort them to a register lol.
customer...."excuse me, i cannot find anyone in the appliance department". Store associate..."oh, he's up at register 3 trying to make a bonus". BRILLIANT
yes all specialists are doing this
I guess it doesn't matter where the sale's $ amount come from, washer and dryer or bales of wheat straw. WOW 😳
