Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Fixing errors

Having to fix someone else's mistakes - someone mentioned this problem on one of the threads here and I wonder how people deal with having to constantly correct the mistakes of someone who doesn’t even bother trying not to make them in the first place?
It happens to me all the time and it's really starting to frustrate me. It's not about mistakes anymore, ok, I'll correct it, but I can't believe that a person who does such a sloppy job still works here.

In some cases they're still there because if they're let go, they can't be replaced due to hiring freezes. Its better not to have an empty chair even if they mess up constantly. Frustrating.

So true on all accounts. I was a top performer, paid the most, and the oldest. Then was laid off saying performance was not an issue (DUH). The other guy had more visits per day than I did. And I wonder why? His callback rate was out the roof, expenses were low, and he was the hero in Xerox's eyes. So sad that the person who has almost no callbacks, good expenses, even having good customer responses gets screwed....oh well...so much for "used to be great" company!! Funny part is he is ready to quit because of all the pressure put on him since I left because of his callback rate!!

So much is wrong in this company it is not even worth trying to fix.Out sourcing has been a disaster.Xerox, you get what you pay for.

omg, I am fixing errors ALL DAY long, I can't even finish my own work because everything I look at was done wrong so I can't my job without fixing the issues....it is beyond frustrating and aggravating to the point I want to say give me the other peoples salaries because they just suck!!!!
