I think the numbers give insight only to a certain degree when it comes to situation in the stores. Managers following these numbers do not see the real situation at all, which sometimes seems a lot different to me than what the numbers say. Looking at the numbers, managers are sometimes completely detached from reality. It wouldn’t be bad to sometimes forget the stats and look at stuff from some other perspective, right?

We are detached from the reality of what’s going on. Customers are never heard . We are reading a book that is not up to date for retail today. Conference calls , endless useless meetings , no priorities to get the customer served . My store has 40 rods and 6 cages of new receipts since mother’s day and over 50 rods of fitting . How do we sell when the goods are off the floor and nobody cares. Environment may look good, but there is more off the floor than on the floor.
Oh yes they do!
Numbers don’t lie.
