It is easy for me to find a job outside of MRO, I am not hampered by age or skillset, but I often think of those who are older and do not have the skills to enable them to find a job outside of OG. What are your experiences with transitioning to a career outside of industry? I know a person with a petroleum engineering degree who after getting laid off tried to turn his old hobby into a job because he could not find a new job for a long time.

As your advisor I recommend you go to a comfortable quiet place, put in your earpods and listen to Aimee Mann's song "Wise Up" no less than 2 times in a row.
