Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

"Better the devil you know"

How hard is it for you to leave?
Many people find it hard to leave a job even though they know this is no longer the place to be. Instead of leaving, they stay here just because they believe the devil you know is better than the devil you don't.
I am almost convinced that there are more people who are afraid of a new beginning than those who are really trying and can't find a new job.

I’m sticking around because I hope they lay off or fire me. Watching for jobs at USAA.

Did I just read that working at SF is worse than slowly dying from cancer? Whoa!

I look every few weeks to see if Country is hiring, they don't seem to have very much turnover.

I was laid-off by SF. Friends ask me if I would ever consider going back assuming the opportunity arises. I tell them why would I willingly go back to prison? Under the current leadership, it was the worse job, the worse experience of my working career. Heck, it was the worse experience of my life and I'm dying a slow death from cancer.
