Working at Belk is a miserable feeling. I worked there until recently because I thought I couldn’t find a better job in this industry, primarily given my age, so I didn't even try.
The first time I decided to dedicate myself to looking for a new job, I ended up finding it very quickly. I wonder if those who are still in this company can’t find a new job or aren’t trying hard enough to find it?

Just because the news says there are a lot of places hiring doesn't mean all of those jobs will meet everyone's needs. No one wants to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. I'm no longer working at Belk, and I'm trying to find a job that pays better so i can make my bills more comfortably every month. I'm also in my 50s and competing with a lot of young folks who want the same jobs. Its going to take a minute. Just my 2 cents.
