Effects of BJS Wholesale Club Restructuring

To all that were affected by BJ's restructuring it has been almost five weeks now, has it affected you financially? Have you been able to find suitable jobs? How is it going? i hear that the clubs are really struggling.

I haven't found anything that I'm qualified for. Jobs aren't paying more than $10.00 and $12.00 an hour or they are only part time. I was at almost $14 and full time. I'm a single adult with bills. Unemployment is still pending. I have no health insurance and I have my annual doctor appointment coming up because I need my prescriptions. BJ's really screwed up my life. 12 years of my life and they didn't care my loyalty.

I start a new job in a couple weeks. Same thing more money. Clubs are still horribly understaffed. Got a message that they are upping the referral bonus to $500 up from $100. Big hiring event a couple weeks ago. Think the store picked up 8 or 10 people. We need 40. They are absolutely desperate to get bodies in the stores. Not sure how long this will sustain because it's just adding more stress and burden to those that are still working here.
