It’s just a paycheck. No sense of family or culture or history. Take it or leave it for what it is. I wish the would rename the company though as it’s a disservice to the memory of several honorable legacy companies. Better to be remembered as we were.

My Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister, Uncle, Aunt, Grandfather, and Great Grandmother work here. I don't have a problem getting promotions monthly.
When I interned, it seemed like a great place. We were wined and dined, went on fieldtrips, and everyone was friendly snd helpful. Then when I started full time, it was like a totally different company. Now I’m stuck because nobody else is hiring. So I’m looking to pivot into another career and get a better job at a company with a more stable future like so many others are doing.
The only compelling reason was that it was very easy to do absolutely nothing but talk and still get the same mediocre paycheck as the busybodies.
Good question.
