Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Training

Does this company provide the tools for new grads to excel in their position? I’m looking to get into a company that will provide excellent training and support when needed. Are employees treated rather well here and are promotions merit based? I would appreciate any experience shared. Thanks.

Excel in their position? You mean like VBA or just regular formula stuff? Perhaps you want to pivot table?

I remember the summer hires were always somebody's kid. Thankfully those days are over.

Short answer is no, long answer is nooooo. I was there one year, the nepotism was rampant in my immediate team alone. Was like every other person I met had blue blood connections or relatives in the company

You have to be a special kind of stupid to come to a website labeled the layoff to ask if a company that you can clearly see is being discussed on various topics about how poorly it’s ran, people being laid off, etc and ask if it’s a good place to work. Yeah man it’s great. Come on down. I’m sure you’ll start off at a higher salary than one of the many people that have worked here for 20-30 years. Great place to work, all the tools you’ll need to succeed and more
