Yeah, got a chuckle out it too. Cloud company?! Stop it already.
NetApp is a "STORAGE COMPANY" with storage offerings in the cloud and enough capitol to purchase smaller companies to say they have services in the cloud.
"NetApp CVO is the next AWS", holy sh--e, now that is a level of delusion I never thought I would see on these boards. I believe NetApp will continue to hang on for a while but to say that the story at NetApp is changing to the affect of becoming one of the biggest cloud providers in the world is just laughable. NetApp doesn't have the market position, the technology value, or the innovative spirit to be the next AWS. Thanks for the chuckle though. Holy cow, I can't understand why NetApp's HR and Marketing teams are spamming a layoff rumor site.
