Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

If you actually followed the policy, the acceptance of a debit card on prepaids is allowed for now. So looks like you lost your “sales” due to not knowing the policy.
Also, shame on you for thinking that debit cards bring money. Debit cards bring fraud left and right. Hence the policy.

Taken debit cards in Europe for maybe a couple of years now. Doesn't seem to be an increase in thefts, we just do our thorough online checks on renters

Yeah this policy won't last long. Once the fraus starts and cars goes missing the will change it up. Once words gets out on the dark web you can get a car at Hertz with your debit cars the flood gates wil open. And yesI bet there are a bumch of RA's out there with CPP without the customers knowing and managers write it off so there nu,nbners continue to look "good"

You need to understand the big picture. The amount of bad debt and vehicle damages that are associated with these rentals is far worse for the company than having to turn away these rentals.

Also understand that no one else in the industry takes a debit card. There is a reason for that.

I don't make commission. The managers are always up my a– about my numbers because I believe a customer when they say no.

Being able to rent with a debit card is stupid to begin with. Pay with debit at the end of the rental with one yes. In this world of fraud, it should be CC only way you are going to drive the car off the lot. Of course my location had over 100 cars stolen in 2019, and was told the company makes more money on theft then renting them.

Cry me a river. You want to trade places? Someone should look into your sales and see how much "full coverage" you put on that customers don't want and the amount you get incentivized on that gets adjusted.
