Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Morale is horrendous

Our store is at an all time low with morale, and it keeps getting worse. Staffing is awful, managers hide and ignore everything, between 5 and 10 people call out every day and we are just starting to get busy. This season is going to be a disaster. Is this typical of Lowe's stores, or are we just like other stores? I've only ever been in one store so I don't know if this is normal. It seems like anything but normal. Can't wait for the next employee opinon survey...

The sad thing is that NO one has the guts to STAND UP! Nothing will change and it will only get worse, because fear wins over courage and ethics. PITIFUL!

Don't worry there are two warm bodied part timers to take your place, wwhen you move on. Lowes has gotten rid of most of the good peopleand are hiring dregs to replace them. Any knowledgable people they hire soon figure it out and move on quickly.

Been with Lowe's a l-o-n-g time and would have to agree this is getting worse. For my department, the combination of the nearly complete out of stock status (major appliances since late 2019), constant customer complaints (many of which were Lowes.com purchases that have NOTHING to do with my store or related to XDT and/or 3rd party delivery) and perpetual lack of staff is just lending itself to a feeling of defeat and hopelessness. The brutal cutting of payroll hours during the last two quarters have been the icing on the cake. I swear that on most M-F morning shifts the MST staff outnumbers the red vest employees in my store. Combine that with a SM that is more concerned about LCC apps and whether or not you are caught up on your AP4ME and you have to wonder if your living in a Twilight Zone episode (analogous to your home is on fire and you're more concerned that your mailbox needs painting). Just leaves you totally dumbfounded as to what is really going on and wondering if there is truly any long term vision for this company.

That employee opinion survey is a joke. You might as well write your abc's down and color in a coloring book, its about the same thing. That thing dont change a thing, its just there for employee false hope. Besides lowes s—s everywhere. Its diseased and dying, its a former empty shell of what it used to be years ago. This ahole ruined the company.

Former 20 year veteran that worked in three stores. It's the same in all stores–especially from Easter to fourth of July.
