I don’t know what are the reasons why almost everyone is so worried that they might return to the office. I honestly can’t wait and would love for that to happen as soon as possible. Not everyone has the same situation, I have 2 kids running around while I have to finish work and it becomes a mission impossible. Work/ life balance no longer exists.

Execs in the hubs are all sitting together. They were not in attemdance before and likely will rarely be present in post world
Would be good to be able to bring kids and pets to work.
I don’t like the boomer culture of people complaining they have too many kids, boomers are just not worth my time in most cases to interact with I’m here for the benefits...
I pay to own nice things I can’t enjoy, or have an easy life because of people like you.
Its not your decision to go back to the office. More cost efficient for employees to WFH.

My exec leader said she will likely not be working in the office until early next year due to commute and unsanitary conditions.
@2qlv+1a9MjpWV And you're not?
I wouldn’t mind going back to the office, if it wasn’t for the fact that I work in the Atlanta metro area and my new office is going to add 10 more miles to my commute in an extremely busy, congested area.
It's funny! Glad I'm out. People are learning the hard way what it is like to be led by all about me people like themselves. It tears families, communities, states and the nation apart. State Farm is no different than all the rest. All about me is chaos! Have fun living in it cause it sure is hell.
Work is meant to be work - not whiners sitting in their boxers at home doing minimal tasks. Free ride must end
Other than Management being able to physically keep tabs on what you’re doing at your desk, What’s the big difference between being in the office and WFH? in some states, the traffic is unbearable and when everyone has to go back to work it will be even worse because the population in some states keeps growing. Living 25 minutes from the work place and having to leave your home an extra 1.5 early is stressful and still doesn’t mean you’re going to make it on time because traffic in some major cities is unpredictable. I’m sure they’re working on getting everybody back in the office soon, but I don’t see the big difference.
It’s time to go back to the office buildings again and be one big happy family!
Won’t miss quid pro quo
I have a safer and way more pleasant work environment here at home! My commute is awesome! And i don't have to worry about getting sick at work, seeing armed guards, worrying about active shooters, shuffle down to the basement for tornado drills, and I can make faces at people in my meetings... you know, the people who just LOVE to hear their own voice. Heck, I can even bail on larger meetings without having to stage a fake phone call.
Quit being a cheap a55 and put your kids in daycare. Or, start adulting and discipline them. Just don't expect me to follow your lead and go back to that petri dish replete with annoying AF co-workers.
I can have my home an ice burg temp if I want It, I can watch birds at the birdfeeder right outside the window, I can run get a drink or a snack anytime I want to, I don’t have to worry about catching diseases from people coughing and hacking right over my shoulder, in my bathroom is not a biohazard.
OP, what are you going to do with your rug rats when you go back to the office? Dog crate or daycare? Seems to be what you should be doing with them while you WFH if they are a distraction.
I can focus more at home. I can enter a bathroom that doesn't reek. There are no lazy coworkers who create distractions all day, all the while earning the same pay as the hard workers. No hearing people drone on constantly about the finale of whatever Netflix show they just binge watched. No having to pretend I care in pointless, endless meetings. No commute. If a vendor needs to perform a service at my house I don't have to beg for time off to deal with them. No having to deal face to face with self-important windbag managers who care about nothing but the next rung on the ladder.
There are some good people I miss but I can meet them outside of work.
OP if you want to go back to the office because you cannot stand your children go right ahead, here take my spot!
I enjoy the 3 hours i get back in commute time plus the extra hour i can get up later since i can work in pajamas if i want to so really 4 extra hours i gained daily
on breaks and lunch i get to hang out with Family , play fetch with dogs
that weird shoulder pain i used to have is gone since no longer do i have stress due to horrible commute to and from office.
i put like a few hundred miles on vehicle if any for a full year, filled out gas once last march and still gas in tank , car has less wear and tear, no gas expenses.
if i get slightly sick i can still work (if i feel i can do it) since no one has to see my face and i can make it work
the view i have is 100 times better since i get a window and get to see my beautiful backyard and not a gray wall like at the office.
no noise , its quiet all the time , i dont have to put up with people who sit 3 feet away at an office.
you are asking Why wouldn't I go back to office?...!!!
I ask why would anyone even think about going back ???
having family close by is a blessing for me, yes i get it it can be somewhat of a hassle to have kids at home while you work but at the same time well educated kids are never a an issue and spending more actual time with family is blessing
Going back to the office means a daily 2-2.5 hour commute - having that time back has been wonderful from a work-life balance perspective, not to mention saving mileage on my vehicle and gas money.
The hub spaces are very open with no cubicle walls so there are a lot more distractions there.
I spend a lot of my time in conference calls because most of the people I work with are in a different location - why spend all that time driving to/from the office to be on calls?
I don’t have kids though, so that could be a factor, too.
I prefer home over being in the claims area. You can feel the tension and stress in the area
Hellooooo! Let’s start with the fact that there’s no longer an office nearby for me and my coworkers to return to. We just work from home “for now”. Relocating to a HUB - even if SF would pay those moving expenses - isn’t happening either. So there you have it.
My co workers talking about stupid stuff all day is annoying af. Home is where it's quiet.
