Do y'all think the proposed 2% raises will actually happen? I have serious doubts with this company. It seems like a tactic to keep people from quitting. I haven't seen any pay increase in 2 years so they've left me very pessimistic regarding Belk.

anyone that is still with this company is just plain dumb. A 2% raise.....seriously? Target was giving $1.00 raises to new hires after six months.
Yes they will happen. You’ll be able to see it on your paycheck for April 23rd.
However the real issue is that many of us are overworked. And every week we are handed a new responsibility or metric to achieve. And we just do it. Thousands of other companies are giving their employees dollar(s) raises, paying hazard pay, and giving bonuses. Yet we have been so dumbfounded to get excited over a 2% raise that equals .15 cents :/
Yet the company continues to run with their BOPIS gift card promotions. Spending around $25 x290stores = $7250 a day. Which realistically is more, because I have seen a customer get 4 $25 gift cards. Our SM claims belk can do this because they’ll write it off, but Belk will only spend $10 per associate on their BEST of belk. Wow. $10 dollars. No gift card for a nice dinner. Nothing but a goodie bag filled with candy and HANDSANITZER.
