In my opinion, this is a special skill that not everyone knows - pretending to be busy. A colleague who was a really hard worker was recently told she was no longer needed here.
Maybe she should have pretended to be more tired than she is because it seems like it’s a recipe for how to keep a job here. It seems to me that the more you pretend to be busy, the safer you are. /sarc. Terrible!

Yes, sometimes I pretend when I don't feel like doing much work. Other times I like to be busy to pass the time. I do know how to pretend to be busy though.
