I just don’t know how they think they can run a company without people caring.
Whomever I talk to, everyone says that their morale here has never been worse and that they are actively looking for a new job. Nothing has been done here for a long time to improve the morale. They don’t seem to recognize it as a problem.

There has been informal discussions about forming an exploratory committee to discuss forming a subcommittee to consider forming a committee to revisit the possibility of reinstating the select a gift program, applicable to employees only, not retirees. So hang on, help is on the way.
Look around you. Look at how many military veterans they hire. Not many! Why may you ask? Because in the military people are trained to save each others life at all cost even if you lose your life. Corporate mentality is opposite. It is based on how many life's can you turn and burn for success. It's how many of the small fish can you eat up and spit out. That's why they won't hire military because military saves life in battle. They don't destroy their own. Think about it. Wonder why it's plug and play and not train?
Leadership is in charge of morale. They are not leaders if they can't improve morale. Leadership is not leaders. They drink the Kool Aid and send it to the troops. When someone says you are in charge of your own morale, goes to show the all about me, lack of teamwork, lack of inclusion, disturbing selfishness, and a narcissistic attitude. That is the leadership at SF. The hypocrisy of what they say and what they do is shocking. They know what to do but refuse. Know and navigate away.
People, will you never learn that you are in charge of your own 'morale' ..? It took me a while, but
I finally realized that. Boom...Mic Drop.....:-)
Employee morale right now is low priority for them. Semi-stagnant economy, employers market and they are making money hand over fist. Why mess up a good thing. Once the economy heats up and it turns to an employee market all of a sudden, bring your dog to work day and Ice Cream Social Fridays are no longer ridiculous concepts to them. They will only make concessions once turnover hits a point that it is impacting the bottom line. Until then they will just keep ratcheting up the pain level.
