- I was laid off last Year. I took all my 401k money since October last year. Now macys sent an email. I saw on my account. Some money . what. I should do ?

Take the money and run. it will be years before they realize if at all someone made a mistake.. if it wasn’t a mistake enjoy all of it.
They would let you withdraw it they told me they are sending it back to macys
Spoke to Merrill Lynch. If over $1,000 it can remain at this time. If under you must request distrbution within one month. Additionally it is vested in Macys stock so you possibly can earn or lose money. I chose to remove. Reminder I live in Maryland so it was heavily taxed plus handling fee.
