Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Re-entry to the hubs begins June 1 and WFH ending Oct 31.

It will be in waves with departments staggering work schedules to reduce overcrowding in the elevator and other close contact areas.

Google model? Same company that is working with the Chinese military? How is Chia Lee going to be helped in China when she demands her rights with companies like Google running the show? Don’t follow goog when it tries to go over the cliff!

Coming soon. Too many entitled folks working/daycare multi tasking. Not a viable model. Likely not vaccine mandated but mask mandated with hourly disinfectant sprays to eliminate germs. At some companies I hear there will be bathroom attendants to continuously disinfect and ensure proper hand washing.

"Great movement forward. We will have a highly vaccinated workforce. Need to get back to work. Lots of modernization need and it is clear with the outages and slipping timelines ET needs to be in the office. "

Take a hike, bootlicker.

Wow! Yeah, if Google is already starting to bring back people this month and expects everyone back by September 1, you know SF will be making an announcement soon. The WFH party is over.

For all the non believers, look at what GOOGLE announced today. SF models Google.

I’m not sure why some people are having a hard time believing this. More and more people are getting the COVID vaccine everyday, and the fact that cases go down in the summer, it’s not hard to believe they would start bringing people back in June. No way are they going to let the buildings sit empty for another year. You are dreaming.

False. This isn’t even a halfway decent attempt at stirring up anger and angst.

Re-entry is way more complex than a one size fits all approach to each location, department, or role.

Ugh this may have some truth. It just so happened our Section Manager popped in on one of our huddles yesterday and mentioned a “soft” re-entry beginning tentatively around early summer.

I can see this being true. In April, everyone will be eligible to get the vaccine, so it makes sense they will expect people to start coming back in the office in June. You are delusional if you think they are just going to keep letting the office buildings sit empty for another year.

In auto injury, TM just announced the “new model” rollout will be announced June 1. Essentially the “plug and play” idea mentioned in another thread. Employees being placed anywhere in the company there is a need at the moment. They apparently will do this for the next couple of years before settling into whatever will be next. So much for any hope of job security.

False. We actually do not have capacity space for a continued social distance (which will not be going away) in HUBs to end all WFH. Try harder in creating a rumor next time, buddy.

That seems really specific and aligns with just about everyone being vaccinated.
