Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Has this happened to anyone?

I really don’t know how to ask this other than to come out and say it. So has anyone had a manager that will escalate a disagreement with you to a point where he/she is threatening to get into a physical confrontation after their shift? It is the first time that I’ve experienced it and to be honest I have no idea how to handle it. Do I report? Do I just brush it aside and try to stay out of this person’s way until enough time has gone by?

All bravado aside I would report it because obviously the company is turning this person into something unbelievable and maybe it’ll help them in the long run trust me I have anger issues also

Had it happen to me a long time ago. I had to drop off something in receiving right after it happened. I was on my way to HR's office when he pulled me aside and apologized. A few months later he resigned because Lowe's was changing him for the worse. Still a good guy today. Just didn't like retail and the pressure put upon him

I’ve never met a manager that was so into the job they would threaten an employee. Most are only interested in where everyone is ordering food from. You should be proud to work with such a passionate boss.

I’ve never had it happen and would report it immediately, we had a district manager that would walk the store like a little tantrum. He’d see a messed up bay and throw everything on the floor. He was reported to corporate HR and was termed, after he failed to stop after a warning.

I trained in MMA and would never raise my voice or touch someone unless it was an absolute must. For someone to antagonize, scream and belittle at a work place isn’t acceptable.

Report it immediately!
The company has zero tolerance for any violence whether physical, verbal, or implied. It is actually your duty to report it asap. It's also in the handbook.
