sounds to me like macys is gearing up to let go a ton of full timers.. i have never seen 22 part time jobs ever at macys at one time.. 22 people they dont have to give insurance too and no 401k .
which lowers the long term cost per employee.. 22 PT could replace most of the staff in all the stores.. time to get that resume ready.. its coming for you !

I'm PT and have a 401k with match and PTO.
A) Macy’s and most retail jobs want non managerial full time employees GONE!! Not just them. It’s a benefit/cost cutting measure.
B) you have too many openings because people don’t want to work for $12 an hour when TARGET and WALMART are $15. So you get all the stupid kids who get rejected at the bigger stores.
Solution: Macy’s needs to pay more. But hours will be cut and stores will close. The bigger stores are all doing this. Sign of the times?? 🤷♂️😪

Nope. I'm betting most of those you see are mistakes. We mistakenly had 14 jobs posted when we really only had 5 to fill. The new HR system is a collosal failure.
