I’m the same way. I don’t know if I should start looking for a new job or not. I’ve been a tech for 20 years. I don’t really have any qualifications or an education. I don’t know what to do. I wish I could go back in time and be a contractor, besides working at frontier joining the union was the stupidest thing I have done.
"stuff your metrics" says the union rat that doesnt want to be measured on his performance and wants to ride the coat tails of those who do all the work. metrics exist for managers as well mo–n, its part of showing improvement to actually earn raises rather than rely on a union to negotiate everything for u the same as the slugs that dont show up to work and cant do their jobs. Keep paying your dues!

You clearly have no real world work experience based on this question. Managers are in place to enforce and uphold measured standards of service and metric compliance to ensure efficiency and productivity. Aww the answer everyone hates to hear but are the facts. If that is truly your feeling about managers then you should focus on becoming one. You will quickly learn that with the union in place it is impossible for a manager to accurately discipline a direct report. You will learn quickly why offshoring is so popular amongst corporations.
