I’m not saying that all managers are the same, there are better and worse ones, but mostly everyone is prone to belittling employees. Someone has already noticed this as well, they are literally forcing people to work harder and harder, and I am sure that in our position they would not be able to cope or endure very long. Why so much belittling? Does it make them feel better about themselves? Really awful.

Red badge here. You said it yourself, not all managers are the same. There are just some people who shouldn't be managers, but for some reason they are there. A good manager knows what to say and how to say things without belittling someone. I'm not perfect but I do my best to chose my words wisely, approach someone with an understanding of the situation and so on. On the flip side there are some employees that will take your words too personal or feel like you are belittling them, when all you are doing is giving advice, critique, or coaching. However those are the exception if you know how to talk to people with respect.
I had one employee who took anything I said to her too personal. She was argumentative, would interrupt me before I even got a few words in, never admit she was wrong. She was special for sure. She was a know it all when in reality, she didn't know it all. It made me feel better that just about everyone had issues with her, so I know it wasn't me.
Wow I thought thia happened only at my store.
