No matter how hard you work you are never appreciated and everything you do never seems like it’s good enough. No wonder everyone is leaving this sh– company. I’m I’m on my way to fill out apps. This sh– hole has awful mangers that are lazy that don’t do c r a p. Yet the good workers get overlooked and the lazy ones that don’t do sh– get a free pass. Who pi$$ed in your Cheerios, lol. I’ve been with Walmart for almost 13 years and have enjoyed almost all of it. Bad leadership can ruin a day, a career, a store, even a brand. But if you can let go of the excuses and get out from under that and BECOME the leader, you’re golden. Way too many people don’t recognise themselves in their problems.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of people work at Walmart for additional income or as a fill-in situation between jobs or while in school. They have no idea what they're getting into. At the very least, they believe it's really not that bad. It is.

The problem is not the employees and their lack of ability, but with the culture Walmart has created. Because of that, many other employers won't want to touch you after you worked there. They figure anyone who would put up with Walmart's level of abuse from both customers and managers has some serious self-esteem issues.

Avoid working there if at all possible.

There is nothing wrong with working at Walmart. It's not illegal, and it pays well above minimum wage. Stockers now earn at least $15 an hour. For that kind of mind-numbing work, completely unskilled work, the pay isn't bad.

The registers on the main floor and at money services run on an ancient computer system that locks up and break down CONSTANTLY, causing the employees to get yelled at for that, too, or treated like they haven't got a clue how to run a cash register. Walmart thinks it's going to be the next Amazon when it can't get a cash register or a hand-held device to work properly and the people they hire who can't read or speak English couldn't accuarately fill a grocery order if their lives depended on it.

It doesn't matter if someone is a professional or working at Walmart or cleaning toilets. There should be a standard of decency and treatment of employees as human beings and not cattle, robots or punching bags.

Walmart has a long, well-documented record of discrimination against women - especially "older" women- demoting customer service managers who are good at their jobs, horrible working conditions in terms of morale, abusive customers and micromanaging managers that govern by nepotism - hiring their relatives.

There are too many conflicts of interest to mention, in addition to money laundering and all kinds of shady practices through money services.

The Walmart trend is hiring high school students. The trend is saying they're raising pay but countering that by reducing hours. The trend is lying about layoffs when that's exactly what they're doing. There are fewer and fewer people working in the stores on a daily basis.

Another major problem is that Walmart LIES constantly. They will lie right in the customer's face and turn around and do or say something else. They lie to their employees and make promises that never materialize. You will never hear the truth from anyone at Walmart, whether it's about the real reason for self check-outs or how many people had COVID-19. No employees were told about a massive COVID-19 outbreak in the store, while all of the managers "worked from home" hid in the office as usual and got their voyeurism kicks on their little app cameras on their phone.

All they do is constantly surveil the employees and sit on their asses in the office getting fat while the store goes to pot and they try to cut cut cut everything they can.

This is the only cesspool store that allows customers to absolutely abuse the employees and treat them like slaves. Walmart encourages it. That's why every trailer trash meth head in the area flocks to your local Walmart.

Never encouraging ppl or telling them they are doing a good job (When they are) and only finding fault is instilling in them that nothing is ever good enough is a recipe of disastor. You are just discouraging them and they will become worse. People do NOT just work for a paycheck/benefits - they want to know they are doing a good job and feel a sense of accomplishment. If you harp on the 5% that needs work and never mention or give a pat on the back for the 95% that is right - you are not qualified to be leading anyone. And yes, some managers are lazy.

I am not a failure. I have been here over 10 years and have a manger position not that it’s any of your concern. Why shouldn’t all workers be treated good by their employer? Why shouldn’t everyone be held to the same standers? While some employees work and others get away with doing nothing is not right. Also you can go f— yourself. Have a wonderful day douche bag!

Ha ha. You probably deserve exactly what you get, especially if you end up having to work at Walmart. Quit complaining. If you were able to get and hold a job anywhere else, you’d already be there. I read way too many posts on this forum from those who would be better off accepting the inevitable and realizing you actually have to put forth some effort in order to make something of yourself. If you didn’t do that growing up or while you were in school, then who’s at fault. Surely it’s not Walmart’s fault you are a failure.
