the “ideal” candidate at Belk for an associate will work for under $12 per hr, unload a truck, move fixtures, merchandise, be “on call” at a moments notice, settle for under 30 hrs per week, no benefits, merchandise, clean restrooms, ring on register. That is a direct quote from an RVP, only problem is most people are not dumb enough to accept this low grade position, except the few that do because for whatever reason they can’t find a job elsewhere.
