Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Full timers who are no longer eligible for a raise...

My SM told me HR told her to not have a year end conversation with me. I'm assuming it's bc despite so many changes in the company the one thing that stuck was our pay cap. All our time and dedication means nothing to them and they are so oblivious how insulting they are excluding us. Please just severance me then. You want to be woke and care about everyone's feelings but not your own employees.

just had my yearly talk with my store manager. i was told i was capped out a year and a half ago, after being promoted to receiving manager 5 years ago (with the company for 15 this year), but had heard some others who were capped ended up getting a raise. maybe i make more then them, or maybe they have store managers that were willing/able to push for theirs, but i was told again i'm still capped out.

Well theyevened out part timers hourly wages. It’s not fair to be paid the same as a cashier who sits on a chair and does not move when I’m doing cds rtv cip vdcs and front end receiving and bopis when needed

They should give everyone a raise this year. They need to stop using the pandemic as an excuse to not give them.... I mean we laid off 2,800 employees in a matter of days.

HR is closed Tuesday. Another rounds of terminations? Or is it related to the new review process?

I was told I was maxed out on my last raise before covid. Today I had my yearly talk and was given a raise. I don't know if they raised the cap or what but it made my day.

there is no yearly review because the sm's are giving everyone forms to review themselves

typing it out sounds like a joke, lol, but we just got our forms yesterday

dunno about raises, i've been with the company for 15 years this year, receiving manager for about 4 and i was told i'm capped about two years ago, so reviews are even more meaningless to me now

Yes my SM told me this straight from her mouth. Not sure how closely they monitor this site but she told me later HR emailed her again and said it changed and now I am included again. It's not like we get big raises so it's just sad that they can't see the benefit of boosting our morale too.

You’re assuming or is this what you were told by your SM? I’m curious because I am also maxed out and waiting to see if I get a raise this year...

Never had a yearly review this year. I’m only PT...but they don’t care. No bonus. No review. They don’t have the time to Give us advice. They barely have enough staff and registers open :/

Besides daily feedback an annual formal evaluation should be conducted regardless of compensation change. Any employer that values their employees should take the time to provide this formal feedback. However this doesn’t surprise me because all my years with BBB the culture never really had a focus of value ing the associate.
