I wouldn’t be surprised if the layoffs happen in April. The most important thing for me is that until then I have time to consider alternatives, just in case.
Pepsico would not be the only company that, despite the profit, decided to make big cuts. Far from it being fair, but it happens.
I’m just wondering who would be the target of these layoffs? For them, we all seem equally replaceable.

Payables will get notified tomorrow.

Hey you can always go get some face time with Coca Cola unless you are forced to check the Caucasian box on the application, at that point you are less qualified for hire.
April is a target date for some. Finance is one.
Layoffs are happening now as we speak. Folks are being notified. If you don't already have a resume ready and an online linked in presence you are behind. You need to constantly be getting face time in front of other companies and in the process of having one foot out the door. Yes, you may have some severance but maybe not. Don't make the assumption you will. Some of use who always had stellar reviews did not get a package.
Start now on that online presence if you haven't done so already.
