Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

I just wonder if it’s easier for them now?

When those who deserved a job much more than those who stay get laid off, I wonder how those who stayed feel when they know that they didn't show anything through their work to deserve to stay here? Do mediocre people feel victorious that much better people than them have left? Is it easier for them now? I’m just curious.
And yes, there are exceptions, there are still good workers left here, but many great workers have lost their jobs simply because they weren't manager's favorites.

Just my thoughts........I'm not saying they are better employees - wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings lol. BUT when the people that were laid off were constantly having to correct / fix the work that others did wrong is a pretty good indicator that they were the better choice to keep and that's not what happened. The ones doing the work wrong were kept and the fixers were laid-off. Guess they don't care that work is being done wrong or that those they kept won't be able to pass on any knowledge, so down hill it goes!!!! Good ole boy syndrome wins again :)

Hello OP
The fact that your ego tells you that you are better than everyone who was not fired is probably a clue about why you were not kept around.

Play me a fiddle.
Are we to assume you are so much better than everyone who didn't get let go?

silly question, it happens here, it happens everywhere. Show me a place this doesn't happen at and then I'll be shocked.
