Remember, you current employees had 3 years to find a better job. Don't be surprised when they fire you without warning.

Can’t feel sorry for people who stayed , knowing this would happen. All you people glad it wasn’t you fired and oh “too bad so sad “for those gone. Now it’s you and you sat back and did nothing.

I just heard about this from someone on the Facebook Bookseller page. It's truly sad but we all knew it was coming. Hope everyone finds good jobs. It's tough to be looking now.

I have a feeling we'll be closed by April or June. The customers have left us for Amazon. Can't say I blame them, I don't even buy from our store anymore.

This is hardly a phenomenon limited to Barnes and Nobles, even shoes sold are majority on Amazon among Gen Z these days, never mind books. If you want job safety, you have to have skills that actually make money at a place that's profitable. Don't be the mouse who hems and haws long after the cheese has disappeared.

Any sign that this is company wide? I hope to god they are all closing for good. Remember, you current employees had 3 years to find a better job. Don't be surprised when they fire you without warning. Down with BN, Daunt, Riggio.
