Thread regarding IBM layoffs

No more HR call center (people)

I must have missed the memo.
tried to call IBM HR 800# (1-800-796-9876) with a payroll question (it was the phone # on the bottom of the paystub)

  • no more people
  • if still employed use the ASKHR bot (probably find it on slack?)
  • if retired/separated.... ibmpro@us.ibm.com

email sent 2:45pm ET 2/22/2021... how long till I hear back?

OP again... I am guessing IBM HR is reading/has read this post

I tried the 800 # again and found the message had been updated (inlc diff voice).
OK so now there is another 800# (866 I think) for certain benefits which is likely Fidelity (altho the message doesnt specify who you will be calling.. pls update it)
and the ASKHR bot direction is a little clearer and the email iD for separated/retirees is IBMHRPRO not IBMPRO... so I have tried to resend...

They answered me within two hours. They do want you to list your ibm details in the email.

  • Ibm serial #
  • Dates at ibm
  • address

So it would have been faster if they had those details.

They outsourced the laptop support to Lenovo’s call center. Worst experience of my life. Ended up fixing it at shop myself and paid for it out of pocket.
