Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

Smooth Sailing

With 80% of restructuring spend complete and new leadership in place, Emerson is positioned for a bright future. While this website has been helpful while navigating the last couple of turbulent years, we are now poised for continued growth and this site has likely outlived its usefulness. Let’s hope we never have reason to come back here again!

Everyone knows that Emerson HR should actually be called the Management Protection Agency. They remind me of the Praetorian Guard protecting Nero as Rome burned and tried to round up all the Christians that supposedly "burned" Rome while Nero fiddled. They were well paid as well.

I wouldn't trust buying a garbage disposal from this garbage company.
My plan is just to keep on collecting paychecks from these POS company, do zero work and wait for the whole thing to go down the drain.
LOL Thanks! Keep up the great work everybody!

So sorry to see EMR go down the same path as Dell and National Instruments. EMR is definitely no loner the trust worthy company who valued it's employees.

Don't blame the managers, they are getting caught up in all this c-ap too. Losing their jobs like everyone else. BLAME THE EXECUTIVES WHO MAKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS A YEAR!!! BUT BOO HOO, THEY ARE SO SORRY WE ARE LOSING OUR JOBS. GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK.

I just find the smugness of this post disgusting. People are losing their jobs in the middle of a pandemic for crying out loud. There is no job market. Should be ashamed of themselves calling it smooth sailing.

All the execs are cut from the same cloth. Groupthink.
Our products are difficult to work with, and poorly tested.

The most ridiculous post I have never seen here.
Even if Emerson is safe the employees will not, especially if they are working in acquired companies in USA and Europe.
Emerson will go on reducing cost firing experienced people and moving activities to LCC since this is the only thing Emerson managers are able to do.

80% done. So are you communicating that there are still hundreds to go. Will these be LIFO? Or FIFO that continue to drain the company of its heritage and knowledge. You sound like you are high up... ignorant and insensitive.

Emerson can’t fix a culture problem that the new CEO and COO were huge contributors to.

Having dumped literally tens of thousands of years of experience to save a few bucks? Having destroyed lives because you haven’t been able to maintain a decent culture? Emerson has become an industry joke because of its lack of innovation and inability to manage its businesses. Not only has it rotted internally, it continues to destroy the companies it acquires. It’s time for a breakup of the company to unlock the value within as its clear the management is incapable. (Ps the leadership is not new, it’s just repositioned cronies who benefited playing the internal politics and continuing the sad ways of the past)

Ha! Who paid you to post? Clearly you benefit greatly from the recent changes and are trying to rally those you’ve stepped on along the way.
