Churn and burn - they really don't care about their employees

I received an email today from my "manager", telling me I needed to close $4m of new TCV signings in 1Q21. This is the first I have gotten any sales goals or quota info., considering that I have been with GTS since October 2020. Again, on Feb.17 , 2021 = you need to close $4m in new sales for 1Q2021. Can't tell you how disgusted I feel, maybe this is standard IBM behavior. Not even close to being 1 year with the company and I am already looking. Damn.

They are CYA-ing to put you on a PIP (personal improvement plan) which is a justification for termination for non achievement. Di you acknowledge it? RAs vs PIP = lots; non-performance vs Performance criteria Don't agree if you have the option..Next you can send an inquiry ofbyour termination to iBMlawduit@LLRlaw.com. You are toast... time to update the resume and look for a better company.

If you don't know, this company is under EXTREME pressure to deliver revenue growth starting with this quarter... The future of the CEO rest on your performance, perform or you will be history.
Evidently, if you become history, it will only make things worse... this is call the vicious circle of total non-sense or the IBM Company!!

Sounds like you are being put on a performance plan to get managed out of the business. Very typical IBM approach.

This is very typical of IBM. They always get off to a slow start due to inefficiencies in assigning quota. In my years at IBM (20), getting a quota before end of Jan was quite rare. NOTE pay attention to the sales plan. It shows you what is important to focus on, to keep your job, but even more importantly it will show you where you can make money.
