I understand that Disney is going through hard times and that layoffs are inevitable. However, what is not clear to me is why they didn't take into account employees' talent and experience?
After everything has settled down a bit since the previous layoffs, I can see some things clearly now - Disney got rid of the best people.

Disney has treated over 30,000 with the greatest of disrespect during Covid, and that includes the many coordinators and managers that made unjust decisions in who to call-back. Shame on Disney (but I get "business" decisions), so especially shame on "HR" and the broad, diverse decisions you made and our (supposed) "leaders" for not bringing back some of the best. "Leaders," have you even contacted the CMs you laid off this year, 2021, to see if they might need you for support, references, or to say "You did a good job for our team, and we miss your __________."
They kept and protected whomever they could control and settled old scores.they also kept and protected people who were like them. They took others ideas and pretend to be there’s.So many of them are clueless without the true creatives.they have surrounded themselves with people who will through their own shortcomings stick together mired in their endless meetings and mediocrity.Day after Day giving over to months and delays requiring larger sums of money and others to step in and finish the work. They will either eventually leave or be promoted to some id–tic title and continue manipulating a corporate system without real creative direction.
No. That is not exactly the most accurate statement. We did not get rid of the best people. Within departments choices were made but a formula as to how to obtain the most effective ROI was the driving factor when it came to front and mid line
It's very clear that for the most part Directors took the easy way out rather than actually picking and choosing.
