Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Beverage or Snacks?

And yeah I knew many from beverage who were jumping over to Snacks because snacks is the division that has carried this company given the margins and endless innovation. There is far less room on the beverage side for innovation so beverage cannibalized snacks roles. Guess you guys were done figuring out new ways to further innovate bottles of water.

This is a post @1bsw+19hzNmEf that I saw on thread +19hzNmEf and I was really interested in how many people would like to switch from Beverage to Snacks? I haven’t been in this company for a long time and I don’t know how realistic and good of an idea it is?

Snacks has been more innovative for sure. It also helps they can put more / less air in a bag and raise prices without transparency to customers. Also 70% market share helps from a scale and promotion perspective.

Snacks has always been the “bread winner”. I have always been proud of this side of the business

Yep, that paradigm ruined my life and so many others. Beverage people were so close to corporate execs and took over snacks roles because they were able to s— a– better to the higher ups in NY. Beverage people came in and then tanked Frito Lay's culture and let go their experienced people who knew what they were doing.
