Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Secret shopper turned out to be a corporate insider.

Our store just got caught in an undercover corporate sting for multiple violations. Keep an eye out for “New Hires”. This guy was a new hire undergoing training. We found it odd he was always asking in depth questions and going in the back room a lot. Turns out he was spying on us and relayed results back to corporate!!!!!

Good! I wish that would happen at my store, my store is always a complete sh–show every day and when word comes out that corporate is coming it’s a mad scramble to clean and make the place look nice for them. They need to just show up announced but they never do that.

Many companies employ these tactics - secret shoppers and/or new hire plants. It is to maintain quality. Unfortunately, the Home Office has implemented so many id–tic policies that Walmart no longer knows the meaning of that word (quality). I saw this when I was in the military when we had a rampant d–g problem. We would get new military assigned to my unit and they acted as fact gatherers for evidence against certain people. In a past life I worked at a Mobil gas station. I always knew when a secret shopper stopped by. Always something 'off' about them.

Unless the management at your store are complete village id–ts, any deficiencies at stores are pretty much the direct result of Home Office policies.

Any idea why the spy was there? I'm curious.
