OKC real estate will take a huge blow

CHK employees and their relatively high salaries have helped prop up the high end of CHK real estate. Now, area real estate will fall. When I left CHK it took 3 years to sell my house and just break even. So, if you have real estate, get it on the market as fast as you can. There will be a glut of higher end properties.

Escapees from the coasts are driving it up faster than crashing oil is driving it down.

That being said - CHK dieing isn't good for OKC. Wish it had been managed better.

Most of chesapeakers live in ugly shacks that can be easily sold in the current market.
And I know this because I easily managed to sell my piece of s*** home in about a month.
Unless you are a virtuous manager or VP that owns a mansion, your shack will sell just fine, fear not.
