The 30% was not restored for Anadarko employees so wrong!
@3xxb, the 30% was restored months ago in August. The reduction was only in place for 3 months.
Why did they restore CEO salary. The increase in revenue is just due to price improvement and this improvement will be short lived. This is anti cost costing. Also, They need to take a hard look at the organization and trim even further. Some of the work simply doesn’t have to be done by employees.
They should probably be restoring all of the 30% they cut from Texas employees!!!!!
Hoping everyone will receive a bonus because Oxy just “restored a major portion of CEO pay as oil prices rise”
You have to think twice about the VSP. If you are not financially ready for retirement and don’t have a high paying job( with bonus and LTI like Oxy) it is not a great deal.
It has been implied bonuses (of some type) would be recommended to BoD.
I keep expectations low and assume no bonus so anything would be a pleasant surprise but with WTI approaching $60 I’d be surprised if there isn’t some sort of bonus.
I’d happily give up this year’s bonus for a VSP
I'd say the GOM and field employees deserve a bonus seeing that we've been tortured bi-weekly with nasal probes, screwed up paycheck from HR ,and 1 wasted day away from our families just to keep the company afloat. Must be nice to sit at home in PJs sipping wine to call in to a teams meeting..ijs
I've worked in both the bonus and no-bonus E&P eras, and I definitely preferred the bonus era. If you were still working in the E&P industry, you would prefer the bonus era as well. The people at the top always got a slice of the corporate pie. The people who actually did the work should get a slice too.
Also, it should be painfully obvious to everyone that the E&P industry is fundamentally uninvestable these days. The only people who consistently make money are the employees. Therefore it would be prudent to move your investment dollars to companies in growth industries and not hang onto a bygone era; losing money along the way.
Why should people get bonuses. The industry didn’t used to give bonuses back in the 70’s , 80’s, and 90’s. It was just “a thing to do” over the last two decades because of the competition for talent. Now there is a lot of talent looking for work and plenty of well qualified expert consultants who can do the jobs. The bonus can be taken away very easily like it was a few years back at OXY. You are so spoiled. Get it.
EVERYONE who has done a good job should get a bonus.
Maybe they should only pay the bonus to those who come back to the office after getting the vaccine. That would help the process move along. In the meantime pay the bonus to the field people because they deserve it now.
By definition if you have "extra cash," you've already paid your mortgage.
What winnings? Your company is drowning in debt, the stock is low, and the dividend is almost zero. Your revenue is up which is good. If I have extra cash at home I pay off mortgages first and other debt and then pay myself last. You cannot afford to pay bonuses now. Get it.
Let’s all share the winnings. Why bother asking let’s pillage & plunder!
I really hope so.
The field staff has been absolutely f—ed over through all of this. If anyone deserves a bonus, it is them.
Non-field/ non-operations people are spoiled rotten! You people could have just not worked at all and revenues would be the same. The field and operations people are the ones who should get the bonus.
