During the earnings call today, they mentioned that there are 1800 less employees now than in 2020. I assume those are largely layoffs/RIFs but would expect much of that is also just non-backfilled attrition.
I was shocked not only by that number but that they let it be known publicly on the call. The strategy up to now seems to have been to keep all layoff news very quiet.

Make no mistake. NCR used the covid threat as an excuse to selectively LAYOFF people and trim the roles to enable them to move jobs to Serbia. They've come right out and said they'll make that location the second largest concentration of ncr employees in 2021. If you have no means to leave then you're stuck waiting your turn for them to suprise YOU. If you have the means to leave then dont miss the opportunity.
