Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Be prepared for more

During a recent Collins executive call, a high ranking VP mentioned that they were tasked with looking closely at overhead/indirect labor for the rest of Q1. Sounds like another round of cuts will be coming in late Q1, early Q2.

Yup, it looks like we'll be looking at more layoffs in the not so distant future. My advice is to make sure you're prepared, whether your name ends up on the list or not this time. The way things have been going, it might be only a matter of time before the majority of us are shown the door.

Interns who are non-Engineers and non-Finance Folks (Finance. Folks...you know, those guys who chat on the hallways all day) work for free (what I hear from my kiddos).

In regards to question to interns interns work for free I have a mass exodus mass layoffs you still have to run a company with a skeleton crew who’s watching the bottom dollar an option would be free labor would you say

I wonder why Collins is still hiring a ridiculous amount of interns. Take a look at their job postings, the amount is outrageous!
