Employees are stepping stones for upper management

I was a long time employee of FIS many years ago. I was a reliable hard working employee and involved in many bank conversions over the years. Our local should I say high ranking executive person at the time is still there one of a very few left. Her success is not just due to her abilities but greatly aided by those like myself, however when no longer of use to were left to fall to the wayside without even a second glance. Over the years my resentment has dissipated somewhat. I am writing this now for closure. I have always respected people like herself with an obvious imperfection that she had no problem speaking at all our meetings in the conference room and even major board meetings with the highest positions of this major corporation in attendance with her obvious eye impairment. I have always been curious if she has ever looked back at all those she readily dismissed to climb even higher. I did not see any loyalty on the behalf of this executive. I can see why others were no longer employed in their management positions there throughout the years as their personality was much more compassionate. I would never mention her name. Although many may realize of whom I am speaking. It was not only our local area of employees who have been eliminated but, many others as well as she was head of a very large region. We talk greatly about politics in our country. But, honestly it falls more to blame on head executives, Presidents, and Vice Presidents of these corporations for the collapse of our jobs in these institutions and responsible for a large portion of our country’s unemployed. This person played a major roll of our positions leaving this country and going to India. I do not know about you but, for me someone you see eye to eye in the hall, cafeteria, or restroom and see you face to face and put on a facade like you matter is simply the highest level of dishonesty knowing they are going to eliminate your position. I was older when I was dismissed and all those years of loyalty then one day I was walked to the door with my belongings like a common criminal. She is still climbing in the company to no surprise. I wish her all the best. I know for me I care way too much for others I worked with many years to disperse them like yesterday throw aways. If you too are one of the many who didn’t matter you are not alone.

Not surprise. There are two very abusive middle managers in auto finance. They make sure you know they have power. If you report, them they will retaliate. Even upper management knows, they won’t do anything about it.

You are being very nice. Overly so, why not just say what you feel, she is not a leader and doesn’t fulfill the full package aid what it means to be entrusted in a position of leadership because she does not engender support for our employees. She is thinking of her P&L and her bonus not our people!
