Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

Regarding the removed post about questionable layoffs within TSU

That post was another black eye on Pembina. Knowing the company culture, I have no doubt that it is completely true. Targeting individuals last year for layoff due to them having to take medical leave vs. moving on from low performers, toxic staff, or early retirement packages. It is is a BU where the VP conveniently did not send out employee feedback reports to his staff. Perhaps these people who were laid off should have drank more Pembina kool-aid, licked Micks boots, and put in the requisite 10-20 hours of weekly in unpaid overtime. Companies like Pembina are why unions exist. It is great that this site is being viewed by prospective employees, industry, current and former employees, and media.

Teams are not happy with a supervisor who is not a professional engineer in Major projects.

How this supervisor can lead Engineering projects when he is not qualified as a professional engineer and without the right knowledge to manage engineering projects.

Successfully passing a PE exam doesn’t necessarily make you a successful supervisor / project leader.

Talking about targeting individuals. How do you explain that several Professional Engineers were laid off, while one of the Engineering supervisors at Major Projects is still the supervisor even though he is not a professional engineer. Hard to understand how this Engineering supervisor leads the engineering team managing multi-million projects when he is not fully qualified as an engineer.
