Reading the posts on this forum, I got the impression that there is a perfect job, where everything works great and there are no problems like in Lowe's. It's as if everywhere is good but here. Well now I wonder where to find that job where there is no injustice like here and where the worker is respected as much as he deserves? On that note, I don’t work in HR.

Don't know the answer for you but if you compare this forum to the Home Depot one on this same website, you will see a lot fewer complaints over there.
When I started at Lowe’s each full timer worked 2 opens, 2 closes and a mid shift. We knew our schedules a month in advance and had people scheduled in every department. I left lowe’s during one of the restructures.
My new company isn’t in retail. I work m-f,
8am to 5pm, most holidays are off. My boss is flexible with the schedule. We make bigger bonuses based on our individual performance. If we all perform we all make bonuses, If someone has a bad month, they may not make bonus. If I had to do it all over, I’d have left lowe’s when Nibs took over.
And you are ‘talent acquisition partner’ in which area?
It used to be a lot better, but to be fair the same thing has happened at every other retailer for the most part. They have to do what they have to do to stay in business and keep the stock holders happy, if you buy stock in the the company you will have a better stake in what they are doing.

Our new district manager barely acknowledges the store associates, unless he is asking gotcha questions, so he can bust the store manager’s chops. He is a sarcastic, condescending jerk. He would post something like this. It’s the HD mentality.
Instead of going around to the stores taking selfie’s, handing out cheap awards, and calling everybody a “rockstar”, the area and regional teams need to be more actively involved and engaged with the employees at the store level, by getting them the help that they need and making it very clear that work/life balance be provided to everyone.
Costco has a 97 percent retention rate Marvin. Stop following HD, do better.
The person who posted this must have not worked anywhere but Lowes. I have worked at much better places.
Not asking for a perfect job just to have more than one person that runs 2 departments and deals with 20 to 30 customers at a time even the customers are starting to get upset when you tell them they have to wait an hour. The only bright note is eventually these customers are going to get tired of waiting all the time and go somewhere else and then will finally be able to do all the cleaning and everything that they want done..
Ohh, hi Marvin.
The point is .....that Lowe's used to be a good company to work for. The founder of this company would turn over in his grave if he knew who was running this show now
