Heard a rumor that we weren’t getting bonuses at all. Has anyone else heard this? After getting our salaries cut 30% for 4 months, this would be pretty lousy of OXY.

Industry fading like a fart in the wind. Sounds like you are a bit brainwashed. Love how everyone thinks the industry in going to magically disappear. If you work in the industry, I think you should brush up on petroleum products and also do a little investigation into how long it will take for renewables to replace a considerable amount of fossil fuel energy. From what I can see, Federal ban has had some impact on the business, but the base is still going strong and will for a very long time. Small % of portfolio impacted indicates that we'll be able to maintain the base. Higher prices through 4Q 2020 and 1Q 2021 indicates those will be the best quarters OXY has experienced in some time and enable debt reduction.

The way a VP talked today is that HR would do something. It didn’t sound promising. But he said that the board meeting is next week so we will know after.
The operative words are "as market improves".

WTI over $55. Should provide some $ for bonuses. Anyone hear if we're getting them? Since we're each doing the work of 2-3 people due to VSP's and COC, we definitely need bonuses. On the plus side, acquiring tons of new skills due to lack of help, so if no bonus, be heading to a new company as market improves.
The Oxy Bag Holder Troll is unusually active today. Let's not tell him about our sweet bonuses since it'll just get him even more agitated.

I agree. And legacy oxy took a 30% pay cut, so no “layoffs” came with a price stop acting like we owe this company any sort of loyalty for how they have treated us.
So Oxy should start ramping up the dividend soon. Even increasing it by a nickel a quarter would be an improvement.
We haven’t had layoffs for one reason only. The COC for legacy APC employees. OXY can’t layoff APC people until August 2022 without making large payouts to those those laid off. It would be very unfair for them to only layoff legacy OXY. So they are kind of stuck until August 2022. It’s not out of the goodness of their hearts.
If we get a bonus this year it will be a miracle. The way the business is and Covid we are all just lucky to be working. You might think different, but to expect a bonus is just setting yourself up for disappointment. I am sure all the stockholders wish they were getting their old dividend that they invested in Oxy to get in the first place.

You are all spoiled. A few years ago when the oil prices tanked and the company’s net income was negative bonuses were zero. Instead a token amount of LTI was given in place of the bonus. That could and maybe should happen again.
Stop asking too much. Other companies have layoff, We do not. Please stop it.
